Vibha Tewari is an India-born yoga and meditation teacher, certified in 200-Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 by Tirisula Yoga's Yoga Vedanta Training Academy in Singapore — a Yoga Alliance–registered school known for rigorous, traditional training.

A certified trauma-informed teacher with more than a decade of experience — including six years teaching full-time — Vibha has led free community classes in Hyattsville, MD for years, building a devoted local following while reaching a global audience as a featured meditation teacher on the Mind Body Soul wellness channel, where her guided meditations have been viewed more than 200,000 times.

Now based in Mount Rainier, in Maryland's Gateway Arts District, she teaches yoga as a complete practice — asana, pranayama, and meditation — drawn from the tradition she grew up in and made practical for modern, stressful lives.

The name

Vibha (विभा) is Sanskrit for radiance — light, brilliance, splendor. It is also her name. Think of it less as a brand than as a promise: practice should leave you brighter than it found you.

How Vibha teaches

Classes are slow to judge and quick to welcome. Beginners are not an afterthought — they're the heart of the room. Sessions blend movement, breath, and meditation in the proportion you need, and trauma-informed principles shape everything: invitation over instruction, choice over correction, and a room where your nervous system can actually rest.
